...the Greeks surely understand patience, too; keeping your powder dry so to speak.

Patience? When did that ever work.

Give an inch take a mile.

The Turks have to be confronted and luckily we have Greece to do just that. They should be here any day now. I have faith in them.

RW,

there is no such thing as patience. First step is to try and resolve this diplomatically or through EU partners. We have exhausted that step now and Turkey is violating the EEZ.

The next step is a Naval Blockade and a military buildup in the area that will internationalize the crisis across every news bulletin. Give the U.S. something to worry about and let them apply their own pressure.

If this was occurring in the Israeli EEZ, there would be shots fired already.

This is the only way to deal with these situations. If this is not dealt with, then there will be another escalation in the Aegean.

Cyprus was going to order some Israeli Saar 5 Corvettes. What happened to this? A little pocket navy with 2 or 3 Corvettes able to integrate and be interoperable with the Israelis is important. Very important. Money should not be an issue.

...wait long enough, Turkey goes too far; (seems that) they always do.

indeed, Cyprus needs to organise itself, they cannot depend on others, even if she will never be able to do the 'heavy lifting' a neighbour like Turkey can do, or her other allies; Italy, France, and the USA, (Korea and others) are friends (read: partners in the exploitation of (an) the EEZ's resources) to both, one hopes that they are just as concerned with the notion of a Rule of Law, and the Universal Principals on which the word, Freedom, is based.

Greece sends a Frigate and a Submarine to the East mediterranean.

We are getting there. Still more work to be done as far as commitment is concerned.

Cyprus could have had their own 'OXI' day when they got rid of Nicos Sampson.

They will move all over the island and they will convert to Christianity. I already volunteered to become Lordo's godfather. :D
