:x :x :x :x :x :x What do you all think of the jimmy sa/vile and the bbc? I'm shocked about the big cover up, seams they all knew about it.
not for one moment do i believe or accept the excuse made by adults that it was just thought to be rumours, though one or 2 did claim when questioned it had been known he was seen with young girls coming out of Jim's caravan he would use while on these charity walks.
just thinking how many of these people who are in a position of power were involved in the abuse of young kids?
shame on the bbc! :x
thoughts please...

I always thought there was something odd about Jimmy Saville. He used to host a show called Speakeasy, and I attended a recording of one such show. A few years later on I met a lady who had been a part of the guest singing act on that particular show, and we chatted about the show and her singing. She told me that Jimmy Saville was not a nice man and indeed a bit of a groper of ladies. It does not come as surprise to find he was into young kids and though I suspect some may not have been virgins when he screwed them and they may have been gagging for it with him, No excuse, though, if they were under 16 it was still illegal. What is totally dispicable is his abuse of those who were extremely vulnerable, who were certainly not wanting his attention but were not able to resist and under circumstances where they possibly could not complain or felt they could not complain. For that he should have had his meat and two veg slowly removed with a blunt knife.

As for the BBC it was always a bit lefty and at that time some lefties were trying to liberalise the idea of peadophilia - Harriet Harmon was for example involved with an organistion trying to decriminalise the work of PIE - an infamous organisation devoted to "young love".

However if there is evidence that individuals at the BBC were involved in a cover up, those who knew at the time but did nothing deserve to go to prison. Those involved in binning the newsnight diocumentary should be slung out in disgrace.

I never liked him...

However, he is dead now and can never be brought to trial.

No matter how loathsome you consider that he may have been, in the eyes of the law he is innocent as he can never stand trial to be convicted.

Those that wait until a man is dead and cannot defend himself to make accusations disgust me more than the man himself.

thank you both for the reply on my post.
Yes you have both very good points, one about news night who decided at the last minute to pull out...shows they are guilty as hell and i heard also that perhaps a paedophile ring going on at the bbc. jimmy sa/vile was very powerful at the bbc and now looking back you could see how cocky ( no pun intended) he was like he was untouchable. Gary glitter was exposed a few years ago...anyone remember the tune " do you wanna touch, do u wanna touch me there yeah! ) now i realise what the scum was singing about it! so no coincidence that they were friends!
As was pointed out the animal is dead, but the living who did know should be made accountable and taken to court and charged. I don't know if any of those children were gaging for it, some of them girls and boys as young as 9 up to 14 we groped by him. and the reason why we have a law of what age someone can have sex is to protact the young so adults can't take advantage of a child. I feel that at 16 you are still immature and silly.
wonder if the bbc did indeed not only know about jimmy savile, but pander to his sexual needs in the gust of the programs that were produced with him in mind one of them called "Jim will fix it" right in front of the camera's he was a creep.

Rumours (which should never have been ignored) now suggest this sort of thing is endemic at the BBC.

And, no, I don't agree with some of the above posters who suggest the victims should keep quiet now that he is dead. Lessons have to be learnt and many co-perpetrators are still alive and kicking.

I wonder if it is still going on at the BBC? the other thing i don't like is how the BBC are investigating the matter ( how can that be that you investigate your own employers?) it is a police matter.
though maybe not so surprising as the government own the BBC and are very powerful...more to come?
