Commandaria not Greek? Wrong! :D

The wine has a rich history, said to date back to the time of the ancient Greeks, where it was a popular drink at festivals. A dried grape wine from Cyprus was first known to be described in 800 BC by the Greek poet Hesiod and was known as the Cypriot Manna.wiki

Exactly. The foreign crusaders called it comandaria because the vineyards from which it was produced grew where the "Comandaria" (Command) of their order was located.

I was joking. Actually I enjoyed a dish of that in Wales a long time ago. The kind Welsh lady cook was so worried that I might not like it that she kept staring at me until I finished it.

And going by the 'quality' of journalism in the British Press, using newspapers for wrapping greasy fish and chips is more than they are good for! :D
