Bağış repeated his criticism of foreign media for (...allegedly...) exaggerating the protests in Turkey.

“Unfortunately, the foreign press has made a big mistake on this issue,” he said, saying that they wanted to reflect Turkey as a country where life has halted.

“Hours-long broadcasting that is even not interrupted by commercials has damaged Turkey’s image,” he said.

But these long broadcasts surely have a financial reason, and this will be revealed. International channels such as BBC and CNN never do such broadcasting without any advertisement. Somebody somehow financed these broadcasts..."

Someone tell the Ignorant Clown that the BBC has never, ever carried commercials...

...oh... and we can't wait for his revelations....

Sorry mate, but the BBC World News TV service does carry ads.

WTF...!!! ... but ... but... but... where's me cut as as a Licence Payer...!!!

Turkey will probably never be EU member, Minister Bağış says

YALTA

Minister of EU Affairs Egemen Bağış has said Turkey will probably never become a member of the European Union because of stiff opposition and “prejudiced” attitudes from the bloc’s current members, The Telegraph newspaper has reported…..

…..“In the long run I think Turkey will end up like Norway. We will be at European standards, very closely aligned but not as a member,” he said. This prediction would only change if European attitudes change toward his country, which would be the first Muslim nation to join the bloc, Bağış added.

Turkey is still the victim of “prejudice” despite its modernizing and its growing economy, he added, citing the defeat of Istanbul’s Olympic bid as evidence

How full of himself.

Norway is not 'outside' the EU because it has failed to meet criteria like freedom of speech and not imprisoning journalists nor occupying other European countries .... etc ... which are some of the real, not imaginary (e.g. being Muslim), reasons why Turkey does NOT make the grade.

Bagis is just an impossible clown. I'd unscrew his head and shit down his neck but that would probably top up the shit he's been mongering around for the past few years.
