Lordo, what are we going to do about all this xenophobia? I still think it is better to call it "xenophobia" rather than "racism". Cyprus does not support imperialism or neo-colonialism. The only way a Cypriot can be "racist" is if (s)he is explicitly siding with the imperialists. I think most of the Cypriots on this forum take issue with imperialism. The comments xenophobic reactions to globalisation. This is not to excuse them. The question is what to do about it. We have to realise that globalisation is a product of capitalism. It is not enough to be against imperialism. We have to be against capitalism as well.

Marx actually thought capitalism was a wonder of the modern age. Perhaps I should have said "transcend capitalism". But my point is that all you xenophobes are hypocrites. You don't want immigration but you want capitalism which causes it. If you support capitalism you have to live with the consequences. Personally I think immigration is a very delicate issue. Migration is not a crime, and "xenous" make life interesting. But at the same time there are issues that surround migration due to concentration of capital. But let us be clear. The problem is the concentration of capital, not the migration. The Soviet Union never had a problem with immigration.
