Last night I gave an old friend and a true Cypriot a call and humbly offered my apologies for the use of a nick so ...similar to his. Graciously he accepted brushing aside any reference I made to an offense, the old boy has had a rough time over the last 18 months or so, he related an experience to me on the understanding that it was to be confidential, a harrowing and a stressful event that caused him much anguish and pain, I gave him unequivocally my word that I would not disclose the events that lead to his suffering from Stress Related Ulcers, first time he said in his life, an event that drove him to start...smoking again after kicking the habit 16 years ago.
He found solace and comfort with his young and beautiful...wife to be, who stood by him during his arduous experience, sends his regards to all and stated his wish to return to the forum if only the life time ban imposed is lifted. Promises to curtail the excessive use of his favourite derogatory word, Plonkers !!!

Please accept my apologies Bill for getting paranoid. You remind me of all that is good about England. I love Britain, but hate imperialism. Hence my aversion to soldiers. Jerry is a soldier right? I cannot separate Britain's military from imperialism. The best I can do is separate Scotland. What are your thoughts on the creation of a non-imperialist Britain in the future?

Yes, we must all remain sympathetic to our friends in Palestine and perhaps CY can contribute to good relations between all its neighbours... bar the usual suspect ... well, for the time being.

Bill, I am in London. Am curious about you lot and am generally good company, saving my extreme rants for the internet, whilst keeping them to myself in the real world.

What puzzles me most is how you can be on this forum 24/7. Are you some sort of members of the Illuminati, do you work for intelligence agencies, or are you just internet addicts

If you do work in intelligence, perhaps you can give me a job. I like to joke I work for the government, but when people find out that means I'm on benefits, they generally aren't so impressed
