You will argue that there has never been "unregulated capitalism" and in a sense you are right. As I have said the elites, i.e. those with capital, have always cleverly managed the situation through regulation to avoid social crisis ending up as revolution. But there are many examples where relaxing regulation has led to social crisis. For many in the U.S., for example, social crisis is a daily reality.

So, to paraphrase your answer is "No, I cannot give any actual example of 'unregulated capitalism' leading to social crisis"?

What do you think social crisis in the States is? Why do you think the Conservatives after Thatcher were voted out?

It is regulation of capitalism that has stopped the communist revolution from taking place.

I'm not a troll. This is a serious point. Marx was talking about the complete dissolution of government. Capitalism is the rule of capital. Capital is the government. If you remove interference by government then you are left with crisis which turns into revolution which turns?... well that is the point... we have yet to work out how communism will work... the role of the communist party is to ensure the most harmonious transition to whatever that will be... whilst the bourgeois parties try to stem the flow and maximise the survival of the rich...

Your right. To quote Warren Buffett "There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning."

Some friends of mine have been trying to propose free-market communism made up entirely of co-operatives. But then it is an old idea. Have you heard of gung ho?
