I’m not very familiar with the fashion world… Can I assume that Dolce and Gabbana is a small family firm that works for the benefit of the local village community…? :)

And not a business that is in it purely for personal profits…? :x

They are a family run business who very much have the family as their ethical mainstay:

Besides, given the option, I would first buy Greek+Cypriot, then British, then French and then Italian before I randomise for any other European country ...

My Xmas Wish List
1-new law in Cyprus forcing all holders of Cypriot driven license to be re-examined to European standards.

2-International law banning kids toys such as Sidny and Barbie due to its psychological reflection on poor kids minds thinking this is how you look.

3-The war on Islam will take a new route to its end, Liberating people from giving their opinions on what is right and what is wrong instead leaving them to think for them selves and stand for what they believe in.

4- arrogance would be a crime of humanity.

5- A new world organization shall fill the emptiness of the world by adopting visionaries who would create a world with less pain and more prosperity.

6- Drugs to be legalized with an education system to its dangerous and use and facilities to help people be responsible for their decisions and consequences of it.

7- New law prohibiting the world riches people from gaining any more money (and not take their money of them) but taking them of the market to give the chance to others to achieve what they did giving the world economy the regular boost to survive at all times.

8- The world is ours so no more borders, 3rd world countries if have the chance will produce(fact).. so, use them extra hands right and make the world one living system, denying a man the right to travel or live where ever he wishes is a human right failure and your nationality does not give your humanity extra value.

9- sell flowers not bullets. every person making money of wars should be handed to the law. no one above the law

10- people would be more of Shepard's than sheep.

11- respect. Respect others even if they do not stand on the same ground as you do.

12- be human, be less electronic, defend nature, defend the heritage of the next generations, dont be selfish and do your best.

This is my genuine wish (Ill be ecstatic if only 3 happens) never the less, I want nothing for my self other than to be happy and to see happiness on the eyes of the less privileges

Oh good, a small family run business - not a large corporation that you despise so much...? :D

Regarding the main economic figures for the fiscal year 2010/2011, closed on 31 March 2011, wholesale revenues achieved by the Group and by licensee partners, are equal to 1,416.5 million euros.

On the same date, the consolidated revenues recorded by the parent company Dolce&Gabbana Holding S.r.l. amount to 1,120 million euros.

It doesn't mean that just because it's family run that it can't become successful. Best of both worlds! That's the Mediterranean way ... :D

Advertising
2007 D&G advertising image subject to controversyDolce & Gabbana was publicly criticized by Britain's advertising watchdog Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) in January 2007, for an advertising campaign showing models brandishing knives.

Following complaints from consumers' groups in February 2007, Dolce & Gabbana pulled an advertisement in Spain that showed a man holding a woman to the ground by her wrists while a group of men look on. Spain's Labour and Social Affairs Ministry branded the campaign as illegal and humiliating to women, saying the woman's body position had no relation to the products Dolce & Gabbana was trying to sell.[9] Italian publications followed suit, banning the ad. This advertisement was called "a glorification of gang rape" and declared "one of the most controversial advertisements in fashion history
