decision is made. they have been fined by a civilian court for 6000 tl each and by the military court by 10,000 tl each and the villagers are keeping the car and a motorbike. they said sorry and that they did not realise they crossed the border and they promise not to do it again. if they do it again in the next two years they will be in serious trouble. so let us hope they actually get trained where the border is so they dont make mistake again.

My ruling for this case would be thus:

1. 20 Turkish Cypriot cars that cross into the unoccupied territory would be immediately ceased and confiscated (or whichever number of cars is to the value of the two Police outfitted vehicles and paraphernalia) and held until the “TRNC” returns the stolen vehicles and paraphernalia in the condition they were in.

The occupants of these cars will have to walk right back into the “TRNC” to lodge any complaints they may have.

2. The little drug trafficking shit should have an EAW issued against him, his picture plastered all over the nearby villages and a citizens arrest encouraged if anyone sees him again.

3. Police to be granted a “shoot first ask questions later” policy for any fleeing fugitives island wide.

4. Increased military strength and presence in the Lurougina area.

There was no need for any of this, the kid is a known criminal and the least we could have done was to show some good faith and cooperate with th GC police. Are all our politicians incompetent idiots. Do they know anything about PR? I've always said Turks are experts at looting and this is clear proof. Give the GC police their car and bike Back now you bunch of idiots. As for the fines? Trnc is so broke it needs every penny it can get its hands on. To me a clear proof the country is broke.
