Can you steal your own child away from the child's other parent?

Yes you can, and when you do, you become a criminal!

You miss the point yet again does it change the fact that the parent is still the parent?

No, you missed the point, which is, you can steal something/someone, even if you own something/someone, because you are not the sole owner of something/someone, and when you steal something/someone you own with others, then yes, you become a criminal for stealing and your ass belongs in jail!

But thanks for admitting, by default, that you are thieving criminal in the eyes of the law.

No as usual you missed the point as seeing that no one is in prison we have not stolen anything, you forget that Cyprus also belongs to the TCs so seeing we cannot share the child together as one happy family we have to share our time with our child separately.

There is a hung court and neither side has been awarded anything, because both sides have rights as the referendum clearly states we have 50% rights over the child, nothing has been stolen only a divorce of couple that can no longer make the marriage work all thats left is agreement on how to share the child..you cannot force a couple to remarry knowing full well they do not want it, sooner or later that marriage will break down yet again. In modern societies the individuals agree to divide the material things eg land/property and financies and share the time of the child but in this case you want to impose your will on the other half aint gonna happen.

Only if you go through the legal system you can share that child. Once you take unilateral action and go against the law, you become a criminal.

Just how do you expect one criminal to put the other criminal in prison when you are all in the same boat?

There hasn't been a legal divorce, therefore you have stolen the child from the other parent, because the "courts" have already said that your actions are not legal, so what more do you need to know that you are a thieving criminal, and if that wasn't bad enough, you have also stolen other peoples "children" that does not even belong to you, and not only that, but you have been "molesting" them and trying to keep them as yours!

My ruling for this case would be thus:

1. 20 Turkish Cypriot cars that cross into the unoccupied territory would be immediately ceased and confiscated (or whichever number of cars is to the value of the two Police outfitted vehicles and paraphernalia) and held until the “TRNC” returns the stolen vehicles and paraphernalia in the condition they were in.

The occupants of these cars will have to walk right back into the “TRNC” to lodge any complaints they may have.

2. The little drug trafficking shit should have an EAW issued against him, his picture plastered all over the nearby villages and a citizens arrest encouraged if anyone sees him again.

3. Police to be granted a “shoot first ask questions later” policy for any fleeing fugitives island wide.

4. Increased military strength and presence in the Lurougina area.

Down comes the hammer!

GR for President. I'll keep it short as I'm in Budapest and have limited Internet. Thanks to Turkey this unfortunate incident has been handled awfully. There was no need for any of this, the kid is a known criminal and the least we could have done was to show some good faith and cooperate with th GC police. Are all our politicians incompetent idiots. Do they know anything about PR? I've always said Turks are experts at looting and this is clear proof. Give the GC police their car and bike Back now you bunch of idiots. As for the fines? Trnc is so broke it needs every penny it can get its hands on. To me a clear proof the country is broke.

Similar to the south.

That's my point vp. They are stupid and we all know they hate us. This would have been our perfect opportunity to show them and the rest of the world that we are the nice guys. As I said, our lot don't have a bloody clue. All they wanted out of this was a police car and a bike and a couple of quid. Morons.

In your world, but let get back to reality and off the drugs you appear to have consumed...this island belongs just as much to us as it does the Gcs and you cannot force us to live with GCs 1974 saw an end to that situation and we are not going back there. You have to accept that we have to share this island as 2 sides be it as is today divided, under a BBF or even 2 separate recognized countries...which ever you look at it the island has been divided forever.

Tonight I received 1st hand information from the uncle of the policeman who was fined the least for not carrying his gun or something like that. He is from Tseri where I live and just so happens to be the nephew of my father-in-law’s brother!

He says that they DID NOT drive to Lourougina and that Turkish soldiers advanced in the green line where the commotion was taking place in their attempt to handcuff the fugitive.

Why would he lie to his family?

From the onset I found it far fetched that 3 policemen in normal work gear would drive to the middle of a Turkish occupied village!

Well whilst we await the UN Report on the incident perhaps a little common sense by looking at the simplest explanation would support our GR's reli account ...

Getting into the built-up area of Looshitigina Village, would have meant getting across the second set of barricades, manned by the TA. Is anyone suggesting that the TA or the "guard of the Illegal Regime" were asleep at their posts... ???

The TA/"guard" watch-tower, by the way, is in the white Church (i forget its name) just above the village of Lymbia, you can see it for miles around. Perfect high ground vantage point on the top of the salient bordering the buffer zone, from where you can look down on the road that runs along the river valley and anything that moves in the Free Areas.
