Well trained RoC Police Officers

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Had the guy stopped none of this would have happened. How the police ended up in Louroudjina is the bone of contention. At the mo we only have one sides version. If true, the police were crazy toenter these areas.

As to the 'police did nothing wrong', thats a political issue. Like the TC commentators stating that the GCs planned this to extend the UN presence in Cyprud which is due for renewal some time in the new year.

the only thing they are well trained in is to break tcs arms when they are handcuffing them.

i have information that points at the police not being from the local area so them not knowing where the green line is understandable. Not only that but travelling at 100 miles an hour if they miss the old mucahid or two standing by the road side or any sugns that are saying dur or stop.

it just so happens that the ta was there to help the poor chaps otherwise they would have been lynched by the crowd. but i dont suppose they would utter a word of thanks for that.

my agent who shall remain nameless mr deniz aksulu also says that that the newspaper reports about them being outside his house were correct and from their position they would have seen the double flags of trnc and turkish clearly from 3 different hills possibly 4. it is however understandable that in their excitement of bagging a tc they may have been rather blind to the facts.

luckily they will have to explain to the judge why they have broken this mans arm abd perhaps their training will come into question. perhaps all gc police is trainerd to brake tc arms as they arrest. we cannot be sure but certainly will find out.

and on the final note in terms of police jail time there is tc time there is gc time there is gc torturing policemen time and there is mafia time. come what may the hilton in the said village i am sure will extend the customary service accordingly. especially as i understand it there was another chap from this place that got picked up tortured and eventually released on wrongful imprisonment with full compensation of course. i wonder if he will be given the muslim traditional activities to extract further payments of some kind in respect of the torture by the said police force.

Yes! I got lost there last year. Coming from the airport I missed the roundabout’s left turn for Nicosia because I was chatting too much so I took the next exit on left and I ended up driving for an hour on a dark narrow zigzag street close to the green line and heading for Athienou! It’s an eerie place where mistakes can be easily made… it’s hilly, large undergrowth, barrels, sandbags, abandoned huts, it’s a crazy place and it was pitch black!

Arms can brake when you resist arrest!

Police men being arrested/detained by soldiers is NOT good news! These kind of acts only happen during a coup or during a war and this debacle could trigger a unpleasant tit for tat! Not only is it an obstruction of justice but its also giving criminals the wrong messages!

Anyway, the important thing is what happens now! Police men should be released IMMEDIATELY and the suspect INVESTIGATED with his pending surrender to the GC police if there’s enough suspicion.

totally in agreement with you. all that had to do is take the fellows number plate and report him the Muhtar and then i am sure when the muhtars meet for their weekly meetings they would come to an arrangement to deal with the issue. they could even have an official request and see what happens at higher level, but breaking a suspects arm was damn right careless. so it seems christmas has come early for this unfortunate fellow and he is not even a muslim. why do all criminal get all the breaks.

Ok, I will give you the benefit of doubt. İ dont know who is telling the truth but the Cyprus Mail GC commentators are saying 'the Police should not have entered the buffer zone'. Two wrongs never make anything right. İ'd like to see the UN report.

The policemen did nothing wrong in chasing this TC who made a run for it, like a criminal.

If you had any morals or sensitivity at all you would be praying that the Turkish occupiers, here illegally, do not harm the policemen who were only doing their duty in trying to catch criminals, under difficult circumstances. Let's hope they are released unharmed and are not yet more figures to add to the statistics of other innocent GCs who have been shot and beaten to death in their own country by the illegal occupiers!

I doubt any harm will come to the GC officers. Its not as if the north is hostile or they're running wild killing people. Contrary to what you want to believe or portray there is a certain level of law and order there. One important question here though is what happens to the young man now? He has after all suffered a broken arm due to excessive force used by the GC Police Officers during his arrest. Just like I would like justice for the dead (Isaac) I would also like to see justice for the living too.

I just read a report by our Halil. He states that he spoke to a few of his local TC friends who stated that the guy with the 'broken' arm was involved in smuggling goods and other illegalities accross the invisible Green-line. He was well known to the police who have been after him for a while. Halil also stated that you can literally walk freely to Dhali and back with no checkpoints whatsoever. He also said that there is no Turkish Army presence around the village except at the entry road from the north.

Needless to say Halils report was not welcome by staunch separatists. Because of his penchance of telling the truth he has been attacked by commenttors more than once.

I am thankful to Halil in his efforts for the truth.

He also stted that it will be the villagers of Louroudjina who will bear the brunt of the youths actions as the areas will now become more militarized as it was previously. The security forces has been strongly criticised after this event.
