And there you have it. The village idiot has the perfect answer again. His infinite wisdom is admirable.........or should that be laughable.

You can only blame the little pussy who was running away from the law and caused this whole mess so I wouldn't be surprised if they do shoot first and ask questions later the next time another wonders over and doesn't stop when questioned.

True, he should have pulled over like any law abiding citizen would. Apparently Halil made some enquiries about this young man and it turns out he is known to the GC police (probably to TC police too). I hope this doesn't escalate and common sense prevails.

Still, I find it very strange that all 3 of them were unaware they were in a TC village. I read you got lost there and its an easily made mistake but 3 police officers familiar with the neighbourhood shouldn't make such a mistake. And they must be familiar since they knew this TC young man to be dodgy and wanting to speak to him.

@Sotos. Why do you find it so easy to shoot and kill TC's? Do you believe us to be lesser human than you? Do you not think they would be missed just like you would be God forbid if anything happened to you?

you think it is that difficult to go out and find a greek cypriot and kill them. walla we are back in 1963. is that not what police did in 63 and see where it got us. eye for an eye makes everybody blind my friend.

Criminals including smugglers have been exploiting the situation for many years. How lax is the security in the free areas? In plain day light we can see many cars filled with tourists' luggage indicating a long stay in ethnically cleansed properties and they do nothing. THESE PROPERTIES WERE ETHNICALLY CLEANSED WITH NAPALM ON CIVILIANS!!!!If we temporarily close the gates for a couple of months at least we will temporarily prevent some of this ethnic cleansing tourism for a while.

no don;t close the borders - just give them a tax form and ask for instant payment - plus of course look at action against any illegally occupying property of displaced persons.....

I wouldn’t hesitate to shoot a drug smuggler and I couldn’t care less about his ethnicity!

I think last year, I knocked out a Greek guy in the parking lot of Homecenter when he approached to sell me some shit… “beza” or “benza” or other he had in these little bags! I then went inside and told the cashiers and I guess the management called the cops who came and took him away. He couldn’t have found a worse person to try to sell to!

I'd hoped that this was about the corrupt Paphos police being bribed by hotel owners to illegaly confiscate band equipment and shut down music in the Paphos bars so that tourists stay in the hotels in the evenings.
The corrupt GC police do not use the required equipment to test sound levels whilst carrying out their illegal activities.

They don't normally approach respectable-looking guys. Maybe it was your dreadlocks...
