the majority of cypriots may feel they are greek (and this may indeed be a fact, though it would be nice to see evidence) but the majority of cypriots are not - according to how the civilised world defines these things in 2012 - greek. because being greek means being a citizen of greece. and most cypriots are citizens of cyprus. and that is just a fact.

incidentally, i am a british citizen who used to feel he was cypriot. but less so these days. a lot less.

Why do most people tend to forget that the term GREEK is also used to describe the ETHNICITY itself?

For many reasons. Some foreigners (mainly Brits) hate Hellenism because of EOKA, while charlies have been brainwashed by their Zionist-run host nation (e.g. UK) to hate Greece. Other GCs are commie/leftist twats who hate anything related to race/patriotism/nationalism. There are of course those GCs who associate Hellenism with the corrupted and incompetent Greek governments of recent years (1960-today), who have not been able to fulfil Greece's guarantor obligations towards the RoC. The latter it's partly true, but completely irrelevant.

The plain truth is that GCs are racially, and even constitutionally, Greek. If anyone is in doubt, just read the Constitution.

When ELAM takes control, anti-Hellenists will be prosecuted for violating the Constitution and deported (if they are foreigners) or deprived of the RoC citizenship.

You forgot to add that they are agree with Turkey's renaming of Greek-sounding villages in the north, and this policy should be extended all over the island because it is not and never was Greek.
