A lot of angry words in various topics, about the Greeks and the Turks. I have to admit that i have sometimes agreed with some of the stuff that has been posted on this site ( they are just my thoughts and feelings) But i really can't say that every Turk is rotten to the core, just as i would defend anyone saying it about the Greeks.
i do understand most of it is political, but i have noticed it gets very personal to the point of bulling ( from both sides)
so was just thinking if we could say something positive about each other?

I think it'll be easier finding your missing dad than tackling the CyProb so spend your energy on that.

gr, do u mean it in a sarcastic and condescending way? in which case get real with yourself iam entitled to my own opinion, like you are!
( though i do understand your anger and passion for cyprus)
if u understood and read my post correctly i mean well and not to insult or upset anyone including u gr. As far as looking for my dad is concerned please don't use my personal hurt in not been able to find him to score points on my post.

Unfortunately, good will, intelligence and vision is in short supply on both sides, but I will go as far to say that the Turkish side is hell bent on partition and it will not change from this stance unless it's position becomes too costly to her other interests or objectives.

Yes that is sadly true, but at the same time i do understand the anger of the Greeks, there is no answer as u said, feelings are running high and i get that. thank you though for getting your point across and not slatting me. as i said to gr i'm not trying to hurt anyone, a lot of people suffered and lost loved ones. But my meaning was aimed at the ordinary citizen who didn't get a say and so will be seen as an enemy just because of where that person is born. just to add...you made very good points and all debates should help us see or learn something.

Nice try Theodosia, unfortunately you will be beaten into submission or chased off the forum by the self appointed "neo Greek Gods" and other sundry bigots.

Actually, I find you to be a breath of fresh air and smarter than most who post here.

thank you jerry. though im not sure if "beaten into submission or chased off the forum" is going to change anything. people will think what they chose to believe and i do respect that.
I would feel sad if "they" kick me off the forum for a thought, idea or an opinion. i feel that an intelligent person will present their argument and disagree with me in a way that i can respect and respond to even if i don't agree, or for me to learn something, after all are we ever right all the time?
what i find silly is when a sentence is high lighted out of contentence to ridicule something i have said. knowing full well that the edited version looks differently from the true meaning of what the post is about.

Theodosia, you will learn that on CF the forum loudmouths would rather attack the poster than argue with the contents of the post. You will get fed up with the abuse and move on as many have before you. Sadly its mainly the bears in the bear pit that keep the forum alive.

Going back to your initial post Theodosia…

“i was thinking if we all could think of something nice to say each other.”

And then close down the forum I suppose… because nobody is gonna stick around reading the lovely but predictable exchanges between Mother Teresa and Desmond Tutu!

Many forums survive and indeed thrive without without the personal abuse witnessed on CF.

Outsiders see the conflicts on CF as a reflection of the Cypriot population as a whole and conclude that it's hardly surprising that the Cyprus tragedy has dragged on for so long. Ridiculing those you oppose, whoever they may be, is not the the right mindset for solving the Cyprus Problem.

haha....well at least that is funny gr :D but then you highlighting one sentence out of the whole post was rather predictable. And just to point out that you read the post it so how would u have responded to it if you didn't read it?
that said regardless of what u or i say to each other i still like you gr. mother Teresa was not holy and always good or perfect. but in the end that is what makes us human, even u gr!
