Clerides or Papadopolous?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby cypezokyli » Thu Oct 20, 2005 2:17 pm

couple of things to this weird dialogue.

ofcource klerides lied to people. i find it amazing that u consider that sth not normal. i mean papadopoulos promised allagi (change). can u see it?

when it comes to the cyprus problem i guess the biggest mistake of clerides was that he didnt prepare the people for he solution he was negotiating. ofcource i am wondring if without nationalistic b****it if could regain power.

when it comes to political acievements of the two
i would say that at least clerides never scored a pathetis 1% like pap.

to put it otherwise, when center left is united, the right stands no chance
.
first of all i dont see the left in cyprus, but that anoher story..
but if i am not mistaken...well it did happen in 1998. when papadopoulos party was for 4.5 years joining clerides and the last 6 months tried to convince the people that they changed sides for the "good of cyprus"
ofcource in 1998 that centre left candidate was a joke. and i really prefer pap from iakovou. plus it really dissapoints me that we have this guy as minister for foreign affairs. he is simply not able. let aside that the people already rejected him

You have no idea how settling that thought is..

If it makes you feel better then you can have any thought you want. No problem.

Lying in that degree about the most important issue in Cyprus should be normal according to you?

but if i am not mistaken...well it did happen in 1998

In 1998 EDEK was not part of the alliance.

Why dont you simply state which party you support so that we may know with whom we are dealing with?

Which means that you judge people based exclusively on the party they support? Personally I am the sheep of nobody and I do not blindly support any party. I would say that I belong to the center left. So far I voted for AKEL, EDEK and EDY (long time ago). Next elections I will probably vote for the Greens. My support for Papadopoulos is mostly based on his approach to the Cyprus problem and I have never voted for his party.
