Why buy this cheap imitation? I used to buy real imported Greek feta when I had been living in the US. 8)

From your link ....

New Feta "Christis"... it can't be more delicious!

A traditional and completely unique Greek feta cheese flavour, which promises a new delicious "experience" with your food, launched in the Cyprus market by Vivartia (Cyprus) Ltd. This is the Greek Feta "Christis," a traditional recipe and a product of Greek origin which now officially has the original name "feta" in the signature quality of "Christis'! This cheese product is loved by the young and old alike and is an integral part of Greek and Cypriot cuisine.

So your point being that due to the fact that one of Christies’ products contains the word “Greek” as in “Greek Feta” on its label the company must be Greek?

Since you are unable to read your own links, I'll help. 'Christis' is part of a larger group 'Vivartia' which is Greek (biggest company of its kind in Europe, I think).

The new, fresh traditional Feta "Christis" is manufactured in Greece by 'Vigla', a member of the Group Vivartia, on Mount Olympus with respect and devotion to the values of this huge diary product delivery area!

The Feta 'Christis' experience in food is unique and of the highest quality. Slice and enjoy the Feta Cheese "Christis" in salads, in food or even totally alone. The salty recipe, from ancient origins, offers an authentic cheese taste which goes hand in hand with Greek history and tradition.

Product quality is assured by the certificate "Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) and is guaranteed by the EU since the product is Greek, with thousands years of history.

The Feta 'Christis' has been launched in the Cypriot market in 200g and 400g packaging, in a container with brine (salty water), with it's main ingredient being fresh goat's milk.

You were trying to give it an ethnicity. They make some things in Greece and some things in Cyprus - they have enosis. :D

I see, so a stock exchange acquisition has changed its ethnicity then!

Hmm, I wonder if the same applies to this “Hellenism” now that Germany financially owns Greece… :?

They merged. :)

As for further EU enosis - no problem. We'll bring the Germans down from within (ever heard of "gifting" them a wooden horse?).

you may be out of date as Vivartia has apparently sold its interest in Vivartia Cyprus ltd, which ran Christis, to Charalambides and Shacolas interests, returning it to Cypriot hands...

Irrelevant to the point under discussion. It's still made up as a Greek and Cypriot run business, contrary to GR!'s condemnation:

The company shares are distributed as follows: 45 per cent by companies belonging to the Constantinos N. Shacolas Group, 45 per cent by the Alexis Charalambides family and 10 per cent by Delta Greece, who retain the share they originally had in the company.
