Danny's Lebanese

Postby BerkshireScouse » Wed Sep 19, 2012 4:09 pm

Hi

Does anyone know whatever happened to Danny’s Lebanese restaurant in Mesa Getonia, Limassol? Are there any other Lebanese places in Limassol worth trying?

Cheers.

There are several, but I don't know about their quality as I don't really eat that kind of food. The most known one is Sam's Food on Makariou near the roundabout, then there is another one on the sea road opposite Haagen Dazs and I think there is a more formal one on Enaerios on Kennedy Street ... I don't remember if its still there. I am sure there are more...

If you are looking for quality Arabic food regardless its origin try out The Syrian Club/ El-nady Elsory,it have branches in Nic, Lim and Paphos, the Lim branch is near the harbor you can get their phone No off the guide 11892 , They make Syrian and Lebanese dishes that are quite tasty also the atmosphere is traditional Arabic with shesha/hargela/flavoured water pipes and some nights I think Fri or Sat there is live music and belly dancers !

I wish those traditions were kept to Arabic places only. Unfortunately I see those water pipes in many non-Arabic places recently

There is a different between going to a proper Arabic restaurant with a full menu of delicious dishes with Arabic music and cultural background witch include the water pipe as a scene that links with the surrounding than going to a non Arabic coffee shop or bar and smoke the water pipe!
