On 24 August, the independent panel proposed Aarhus (Denmark) to be the other European Capital of Culture for 2017 (IP/12/913). The formal nomination of both winning cities by the EU's Council of Ministers will take place in May 2013..."

Congrats Paphos. Has always been underrated.
Whatever the criteria was, it must have been fair.
Nicosia hasn't got the money for bribery. :lol:

i believe paphos will (briefly) become the european capital of culture from 2morrow - as i'll be flying over for a well earned break for a couple of weeks.
