Marcoulis might not be photogencic, but she still has a warmth to her face from kindliness and intelligence coming through. A very dignified lady.

As for Ashton, she comes from a long line of Lancashire miners who lived in the dark and were constantly sooted up; so looks were never selected in her lineage.
