Expats' exodus as Brits give up on north Cyprus

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I completely agree that most of the transactions in the North are illegal (and could only be legal if the vendor had proper pre-74 tittle) however the reasons the Bris are leaving - and P*ss of I say to them , if they have bought property built on Stolen land - is that they cannot get deeds and dealing with very dodgy developers.

Sadly this a problem which also affects the ROC. .

If they got the deeds they would stay. That is because they are immoral (and that is the polite way of putting it).
Personally I think the government should start targetting the carpet baggers as they come through the check points to identify them .

More use should be made of the Orams case to take legal action against the carpet baggers in the Cyprus Courts under Cyprus law and then enforce through the UK courts - many will have property or pensions in the UK - use the court system and hit'em where it hurts.

If I am not wrong, one of the reasons why Britain was so keen in finding a way to legitimize the illegal status quo in the north was the intention to legitimize the illegal acquisitions of GC properties there by British ex pats (the other being the bases). Maybe the loss of this hope to legitimize the properties acquisitions and the "exodus" of the ex pats signifies less political support to the north by Britain?

Absolutely to the last two sentences STUD.

Disgraceful that it's been completely left to small private owners to take private actions.

Successive CY Govs have had the power to drag a few CarperBuggerers and a large Mainland Turkish business or two before the Courts to set an example, to discourage the attempted thefts but the Gov has done nothing, absolutely bugger all to stop the illegal trading. It has had the powers to do so in it's amended criminal code for years but chooses not to use them. Now what message is that sending...??? ... Laws that ain't enforced ain't worth calling laws...!!!...???

Govs that don't defend their sovereignty ain't worth calling Govs.

Then consider the larger land-owners (with the exception of Lordos) and in particular the largest private land-owner the CY Church with the enormous resources at its disposal, an institution that CYs look to to play a leading role in defending CY Christian Culture and which has sat back and allowed its churches and lands to be turned in to Gambling Dens, Animal Mandres and Whorehouses... and has similarly done sod all...!!!

CY Churches that don't defend CY Christian Culture ain't worth calling CY Churches.

Paradise Lost is an English poem, they should have read it before buying.
