good luck, billy. the bbc (british bread & circus) has become an apologist mouthpiece for the political & financial establishment. its gushing coverage of the jubilee, followed soon after by the nauseous partisan olympics coverage, have irrevocably tainted its reputation as a serious media outlet. its sneering coverage of the assange debacle is enough to make a sane man sick.

'bread and circus' is wot the romans used to dish out to the plebs to keep them revolting.

the bbc is now the main uk provider of the circus; at the expense of the licence payer.

Well, just this minute, emailed the other mouth-piece of the GB Establishment mate, the Daily Mail On-line... with the same complaint...

You Tottingham Boys... never happy.

I believe there may be another character in all this, someone who I would like to see answer a few questions... a chap by the name of Ersin Tatar, who I believe was the Accounting Director for Polly Peck when all these strange transfers of money and other goings-on reported at the Old Bailey were going on.

Can't help but be of the opinion that it might be interesting if this Tatar chap answered a few questions, if only he were asked them by the GB Authorities.

What's he up to now...???

Well he just happens to be temporarily otherwise engaged as the so-called "finance minister" of the Dodgy Illegal Regime known by some as "tncrtc".

Roger Cook the investigating reporter made a program about him and the fall of Polly Peck. http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/title/572425
I remember he was quite supportive of Nadir and condemned the UK fraud squad more or less accusing them of stitching him up. I thought at the time "Rog, you've been conned, no mention of the fact that the bloke built his empire on the theft of GC assets"

The book by David Barchard " Asil Nadir and the rise and fall of Polly Peck" goes into minute detail about the man and his business enterprises. According to Barchard the root cause of PPs problem was the fact that sales made in Turkish Lira were worth less upon receipt some months later because of rapid devaluation of the currency. The threat of legal action by the ROC and the fact that Nadir had enemies inside the TC administration contributed to the company's eventual downfall.
