don't celebrate Easter
And why shouldn’t Cypriots celebrate Easter given that they are Christian Orthodox?
Is Easter also monopolized by Greeks?

It wasn't until I had actually met some Greeks that it dawned on to me that I was anything but Greek.

The Church of Cyprus
Independence: 431 AD
Recognition: 478 AD
The Church of Greece
Independence: 1833
Recognition: 1850
Now how compatible are the above with the theory that Cyprus is/was a Greek island?
What the above facts tell us is that there was no such thing as ancient Greece because Greece DID NOT EXIST until the early 1800s!
Of course, there were disjointed warring Slavic tribes here and there but no single unified empire, unlike Cyprus which was an island nation with naturally occurring permanent borders.
The only cities (and their corresponding churches) that mattered 2,000 years ago were Paphos, Jerusalem, and Constantinople! Nobody gave a shit about the three tents they called Athens!
My poor Spartan wannabes, wherever I look all I see is that your theories are indeed a Greek tragedy!

Now, stop your anti-Cypriot nonsense. The Greek church was one until it expanded so much that seperate administrations were created and at different times reflecting the demands of the latest enslavers. Unfortunately, the Church of Cyprus is no longer allowed jurisdiction over the northern part of Cyprus (post 1974) - how does that fit into your timeline above? This demise is a bit like what happened in Constantinople - and that is what you should be worrying about if you cared for Cyprus.

Oracle, I swear there are days when I wonder if you skipped both breakfast AND lunch... for there seems to be no fresh oxygen reaching your thalamus!
