Sid Waddell has gone, a sad loss.

The list of his bizarre quotes is astonishingly long but the one perhaps most of interest for this forum is the following:

“When Alexander of Macedonia was 33, he cried salt tears because there were no more worlds to conquer..... Bristow's only 27.”

While we’re talking about deceased complete strangers from abroad…

Prabuddha Dasgupta from Bangalore, Karnataka, India also died today… he was only 58!
