ePetition of Cypriot Freedom

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

ePetition of Cypriot Freedom

Postby Me Ed » Fri Aug 03, 2012 1:23 pm

Can Cypriots of what ever side of the line please take time to complete this ePetition:

https://www.change.org/petitions/save-cyprus

Your action is important:

1. To expose and halt the Republic of Turkey's illegal colonization of the Republic of Cyprus with non-Cypriot populations;

2. To denounce Turkey's continuing military threats against Cyprus;

3. To end Turkey's illegal occupation of northern Cyprus;

4. To allow Cyprus to exploit its energy resources without illegal interference by Turkey; and

5. To elucidate for Turkey that before assuming the moral high ground in Cyprus offering its "wisdom" to the EU regarding what constitutes just rights for a 12% ethnic minority community perhaps Turkey needs to first address the political and cultural demands of its own circa 25% ethnic Kurdish minority which cannot even receive lessons in its native language through the school system, let alone full education in Kurdish.

You survived as a nobody with no national identity. Invisible, unrecognized and humiliated.
How does that song go..?

...i signed, thank-you Me Ed.

@ Lordo (and vp), i would correct you in saying, "our" masters.

...are you a Cypriot, first?

if "Greek", after so long, don't you think that there exists "Turks" ("one step ahead", says so much in this context), is this debate really about "them", and their Agenda?

...are you a "Turk", are you a "Greek", same thing to me, an Intolerance which i choose to fight, against.

You sound really confused about this Greek Turk ideology....get over it people can feel what ever they want Greek Turk "Cypriotism" never developed due to GCs desire to be Greek...so first convert your own then try and win over the other side.

...dude, you are not in love with your trees, you are not proud of the wealth of water in your wells, you do not grow grain, nor do you pick the fruits from hard work; you are not close to this land, you are not a Cypriot, you are a dupe because you'll agree with "Greeks" what your Agenda will be, ignoring the rest of us, all Mankind, let alone Greeks and Turks who place their love of this island first. i don't buy your dismissal of my plaint, i know i've suffered, it is Ignorance my enemy, unlike yours. you still don't get it, or you are in this state of denial of what is wrong, you do not have to be so superior and wise, i am not here for plunder, i seek my Identity recognised, like you, far more complex because we are as Individuals denied (if you are Cypriot), and as Persons identified as adversaries; only in Cyprus, on the other hand can a flag be flown, not "Greek", not "Turkish", but like a tiny fulcrum that can balance the power of these conflicted levers, there exists a State, Cypriots, who place Universal Principals above the matters where their self-representaion (as Majorities) effects their daily lives. you should read my manifesto vp, you should send it to Erdogan or someone connected because it is brilliant; with it Turkey has a template to emulate, Bicommunal and Bizonal: one State, and many Constituencies identified by the territories overwhich they have an equal Jurisdiction.

i did not choose to fight for the Freedom of Cyprus, i did not choose to fight for Freedom itself, but here, we are.
