How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The international community is doing exactly what the people of the RoC keep telling it to!

We keep telling the international community that we don’t come from Cyprus because we are not really Cypriots but Greeks! We even go as far as elaborating a story from 3,000 ago when “we” first arrived here!

We then reinforce this story by constantly demonstrating that we don’t like the Cypriot flag but that of Greece!

So I think it’s time we admitted that the international community is behaving very fair under the circumstances because they are thinking...

“If these people aren’t Cypriots and those people in the north aren’t Cypriots then there’s absolutely no reason why anyone should be booted off the island!”

So do you still find the international community’s behavior interesting now that someone has explained it to you Andreas?

Of course not! It is most predictable.

yes... and it gets worse... 'we' orgasm over cypriot teams that drape themselves in the greek flag. demonstrating our stupidity of donkey-esque proportions to the whole world. when will 'we' learn?

It's also worth noting that this is why the UN has put foward the quasi solution that is BBF.

It allows the Greek wannabies to continue playing at being Greek, which in turn causes the TCs to counter this by becoming more Turkish.

Each side has it's own interpretation as to what a BBF is with the British sitting on the fence knowing that they can keep the SBAs forever as its unlikely the two sides will agree.

The only real antedote to this is to cypriotize Cyprus.

Well, some of you don't. We Greeks do. And it's a well-known Greek island. So get used to it if you want to live here and remove the Turks - who also do not come from here and that too is well known. Being Greek saved our closest sister Crete; so stop isolating us as the imperialist invaders would love to have happen.

No problem. Of course, you would suggest such a thing, which serves only to prove my point. As a Turk, you propagate the myth: Nobody is Greek. Nothing belongs to Greeks!

Hence, everything stands alone to be taken by Turks.

Cyprus became an independent state in August 1960 with government posts for both Greek and Turkish Cypriots

• After years of disputes, the Greek Cypriot leaders proposed constiutional amendments in 1963.

• Clashes between the Greek and Turkish communities ensued, with Turkish Cypriots taking refuge in enclaves

• In 1964, the United Nations Security Council dispatched a United Nations peacekeeping force in 1964

• In 1974 when Turkey staged a military intervention following a coup d'Etat by Greek Cypriots and Greece .............

• Within weeks, Turks had occupied the northern third of the island

• Greek Cypriots from the northern part of the island fled to the south and the Turkish Cypriots living in the south took refuge in the north

• Cyprus has remained divided ever since with Greek Cypriots living in the south under the administration of the government of the Republic of Cyprus, and Turkish Cypriots living in the north under the administration of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which is recognised only by Turkey

• UNFICYP maintains a buffer zone between these two areas to this day...........and both side of the divided line is trying solution to Cyprus problem at BBF principles...........

i can't believe that there are liberal people here who refuse the fist hand information from people who lived the troubles and are asking for links to sources. you are receiving first hand information and you are asking for sources. not everything is neatly packaged on the net waiting for you to look at it. when my cousin was picked up by the roc police in 64 going to work with 3 others never to be seen again i can't find a link for that either. does it mean it did not happen. hell no but do you or anybody else cares what you as a nation did the innocent tcs. i suspect not.

never mind you sleep easy tonight my friend.
