You need to update your reading... the DNA testing was restarted days ago.

So why, given you're so sure that this site will be investigated, isn't the poss site near the Mare Monte Hotel near Lapithos being investigated..???

how are you file?....Mare Monte Hotel is in Karavas . What site is there?

Hi file... apolowogies... some refs say the Mare Monte is in Lapithos but you'll know better with your local knowledge, so Karavas it is.

Are we talking about the "MUTTI" location? (Mare Monte my ass ). I camped there with the Nicosia boy scouts in 1961.

Not familiar with MUTTI but the location is given as the Mare Monte near Occupied Karavas in this vid from RIK...

"Mutti" is the exact same spot where Mare Montel Hotel was built i think after 1961(way before my time :) )...there is a point of land the projects into the sea hence the name Mutti...

Ooooh very interesting... In English of course the literal translation of "mutti" is "nose" , but when referring to a bit of land that sticks out in to the sea it becomes "ness".. well, here in GB anyway.

there may be a mistake in the video though, " five mile" is more then 2 miles away from Mare Monte hotel. There is a "turk" monument at Five Mile, maybe the burial ground is there instead of mare montel.

You are absolutely right about the location and Bill is right that μούττη means nose. And this is why its called so:

And yes, the hotel was built after 19678 and they destroyed some fortifications to build it. Till 67, while Grivas was chief of the National Guard would not let them.

These were my old stumping grounds, our house was closer to Lambousa, but with my purple Raleigh bicycle "chopper" i would sneak over to that area. And you reminded me of a good spanking, i received from my father when me and my friends would play around those fortifications"filakia"(found some bird eggs on top of one and brought them home) they were called scattered along the coast in that area.

From your posts we already know you are not as well informed as you think.

i am afraid i have to work for a living. i am not like you charluis who get paid by the roc to peddle all the crap all over the internet.

So who is paid? I always thought if anyone was paid to peddle crap it was more likely to be Halil, VP and yourself or even PC Bubblebrain.

(I am not saying certain GSC posters do not post crap, only that they are not paid for it.)

You are right about the distance and the "pende mili".

But looking at the vid again and comparing the glimpse it gives of the hotel and the google images I conclude that the video was taken at mutti beach.

Maybe you called them "φυλάκια" but as you remember they were concrete machine gun nests.
