A daft Greek waitress...

Postby Get Real! » Sat Jul 21, 2012 10:26 pm

Earlier today, a daft Greek waitress approached our table empty handed to ask what we wanted to order and I said…

“I’d like to order the menu which will hopefully open the window to all the fine things you have on offer!”

So off she went and later returned with ONE menu even though there were two of us sitting at the table! My wife flicked through it placed her order and the daft waitress then turned to me for my order and I said…

“When the second menu comes I’ll browse through it too and put in my order!”

So off she went again to fetch another menu while my wife was still flicking through hers. A few minutes later she was back and I finally had a menu in my hand and was able to put in my order but we noticed that there were no drinks in this menu just food!

So off she went again to fetch the drinks menu but we never saw her return because we decided to go home and boil some spaghetti for dinner… :?

A very bad one!

We were sitting about 30m away from the kitchen area so I figured that by the time she handed out the menus she would’ve covered about 250m and that’s before we put in the order! Is it any wonder why her feet are probably hurting so bad every evening… :?

We also had communication problems; I couldn’t understand her Greek and she couldn’t understand my Cypriot and English was definitely out of the question!

And finally, a fan that was placed close by made awful noises and when I concentrated on it I realized it had been reassembled pretty badly. Someone must’ve wanted to clean the fins/blades but couldn’t put it back together again properly so I knew it was gonna fall apart any moment. My wife laughed it off and lo and behold about 40 minutes later loud noises brought the restaurant to a standstill! One of the fins struck the loose cover and snapped and the grill then just fell off! I jumped up and pulled the plug before it could do any further damage.

What an evening!

What's wrong with spaghetti, add a nice sauce with some hot peppers, anchovies, capers, and garlic, gently fried in some extra virgin olive oil, with freshly grated Parmesan, a meal fit for a King (probably a bit much for GR though).

That’s impossible!

I heard you read everything I post and even go over it twice in case you miss a comma or a period!

You’re obsessed! :?
