It is almost 5am and I can hear something like explosions coming from far. I went on the roof but I can't see anything. If it was a different time I would suspect fireworks ... but what could this be at 5am!! Anybody else in Cyprus can hear these? They go on for about 10 minutes now.

If the explosions were in the Akrotiri area it was those bloody Brits practicing to fight off the Russian Navy which our President seems to have invited to use Limassol port now that Syria is getting a bit dodgy.
