If there is a hell may they rot there.

A few brainwashed kids led around by junta officers, if the Greek cypriot population supported them, where were the jubilant celebrations in the streets of Nicosia and elsewhere in Cyprus?.......there were none.. Curfews and arrests throughout the island is what the situation was like including marshal law.

They can reach any number they like (as rats do), but they don't gain any more rights to the RoC.

psst file WC... will let you in to a secret as to one reason i do what i do as there's no one else around and unlike VP am quite an honest chap...

One of the earliest impressions for a lot of us who weren't in CY was the scene in the Attilla '74 documentary, where towards the start there was a scene in which Big Mak supporters were gathered to protest the junta/coup in a square in Limassol (think it was) ... and the filthy, scumbag fascists of eoka-b were shooting with rifles in to the crowd of CYs below... many were injured and poss killed.

They were file, i think i remember that scene also. My point is, is that it wouldnt take many(eoka b, junta officers) to do their dirty deed against Makarios and the legitimate government of Cyprus. I remember reading the book Attila, and it mentions scenes from Kyrenia, where Eoka b and government police were shooting each other off of rooftops on July 20th, the same day the Turks invaded.

Leadership? You mean the non-elected fascists who took control with the help of the USA. It was right that they be tried. The Greeks did not support their "leadership" or their actions.

Oh you’ll be surprised! They are revered among certain circles even to this day!

Ask Yiabummer and his Kurupet!

Paranoia, GR! I don't know anyone who reveres the junta or what they did. Be they GCs or just Gs. I'm sure even the hateful generals would have killed themselves rather than bring this upon Cyprus if they had half an ounce of brain to foresee the consequences.

Regardless, sometimes the least obvious and most torturous route can open the way to heaven ... we are not hopeless.

They have a huge following and organizations like ELAM and Golden Dawn were borne out of junta ideologies.

I wish I could spell Greek properly and I’d quickly find you tons of Greek links idolizing the protagonists of 1967-74.
Unfortunately I make a lot of mistakes and that kills the power of my searches in this language.
