For me and my family, 400 years of being in Cyprus makes us Turkish Cypriot, not Turks. My posts reflects the truth about Turkey and it's government's policies. ...i must assume you are a "Turk", you have never been clear about your identity, but this insistence that Cyprus does not exist, that it is only Property, and that the existence of Cypriots is easily dismissed, it is condeming. i know that your "Turkishness" requires complete and dogmatic resolution without the sense that All People, Humanity comes first. we have known each other for many years now, vp. obviously you have no love for your roots here on this island, the trees. the homes and the wells your family have tended over lifetimes with the same great humility, you are not connected to the land, nothing you speak of the coincidences in History that makes this island astounding, you choose life in an Ottoman backwater (look around you), but Cyprus is a crossroad for three Continents ((,beside the last 350 years), again). seriously, what do you plan on doing with the 80% of the population that is not "Turkish" enough, such a tiny majority that thrives, compared to the Authority which in essence holds the whole island's population under their subjugation. dude, do you plan on calling all these dwellers names, "case closed", as though "they" are not human for another 50 years? oh yea, that's what "Greeks" do to you...(you always say), regretfully you choose to ignore that all Turks don't have to be "Turks", and the same is true with any distinction you make of other cultures, including Greeks. my challenge if anything, places us at the threshold of the equality you seek politically, you should reconsider my manifesto, and truly if you had the courage you would say Cyprus, and Cypriot without demeaning the suffering the Ignorance against them has caused, not just for them, the Cypriot People, but for yourself (whoever you are).

repulse I love North Cyprus, I left the UK to settle here in the TRNC, the south is like a foreign land to me as I can hardly remember it as a child and my children cdont know it at all. We to love the trees the smell of earth from the fields, the citrus the flowers and people the food the culture the languge that goes to make a country home but your idea of home is far different form mine you see the whole island as yours whereas the younger generations know only the north or south.

Cypriotism only has a chance to flourish in 1960 but we both sides had other agendas and in 1963 it broke down, now after being divided for over 50 years you expect islandwide Cypriotism, this will never happen unity needs to develop over time not over night.

As for this Turkish thing you and other GCs appear to stuck upon, always remember we are proud to be of Turkish origins we do not see or regard it as dirty or digusting as you do so constantly trying to gain a denoucing or rejection of this part of our heritage aint gonna work.

What matters is the future and if we are unable to see the uniting with you is a far better option than the TRNC then nothing will chnage and we all continue as we have been doing since 1974, so the offers you make and what you demand does not cut it, the option to improve or be innovative is in your hands as you have the benefits of the recognition card.
