Turkey is not the center of the world to have any influence on the world stage, so whether they recognise the RoC or not is of no consequence, because the rest of the world does and in the real world, that's what really counts and not an unofficial invite from some nobody (Bagis) who has a title but has no power within the EU to some stupid football game. The fact that Turkey does recognise the illegitimate baby it created called the "trnc" and the rest of the world does not, is where your concerns should be and when ever Turkey does want to get serious to become an EU member where they will respect Democracy, Human Rights and International Law along with EU Principles, is when they will be kissing the RoC's olive skinned hairy ass. Turkey's homestretch journey in becoming an EU member will need to pass through the RoC. If Bagis or Turkey's leaders were smart, they would want to remember this one little piece of information.

Cyprus can only be one of two things. if Cyprus is Property because it was Leased to Britain and that the Treaty of Lausanne was unfair, then you might have a valid point. (similarly if you believe Turkey's Continental shelf extends as far as Italy and Egypt, it is debatable), but Cyprus is Greek because it is what the vast majority of its dwellers have wanted long before it was a backwater wasted by the Ottomans, or Cypriot because as Individuals we choose to be the Stewards of this Land, who as Persons seek to sustain more than one distinct identity.
