You guys are just hypocrites, you 'claim' not to recognise the RoC and yet you invite, unofficially, via tweeter the President to some football game to do what exactly, watch you wank over yourselves.

Bagis is a clown, no one takes this moron seriously, Toffee would have been lowering his standards to accept and then give the turds the idea that we need them. I think it is you that needs to get you heads out of your arses, you need us and until you start behaving you can stay where you are.

Turkey has just shown once again the GC impass, an unofficial invite is better than no invite at all....your politics have born no progress in getting the north back why do you persist with them? doesnt your head hurt from continually banging it against a locked door?

It is more of the case of Bagis not having anything to do during these 6 months of the RoC leading the EU, but play on his tweed account. Come to think of it, that's all he can do, is to play with his tweed account. He has not taken Turkey any closer to becoming an EU member, so what's his job again exactly?

vp, President to President is sincere. off the record, or friendly, is not a smarmy twitter by a medium level minister.

Erdogan and his party cannot go on forever, it is a matter of Democracy; that is a wonderful benefit of it...

...in the meantime we hope they will not start a World War.

i look forward to real Leadership. from this manure, acidic, with it's stink, now growing is a seed in the good earth below; and this is Natural. it will grow a Turkish thought that truly removes the tarnish of this lot because they can respect themselves as Persons, without insisting "it" to be the State, seeing beyond, that they are Individuals, not just "Turks" / and "not Turkish enough". all Turks will find that this Humility (or Humanity), by living Bicommunally, is mind clearing because indeed one State does exist, also having Constituencies, that this, is greater than the Kemalists' distortions to Ataturk's foundations, his original Universal ideal; this too, (if it is done in Cyprus first), will change the World.

...clowns indeed, Turkey will be carved up because of their insistence that a Nation, (theirs (by a coincidence of Language)), should be the State.

Yes, thank you, please do all of us a big favour and do not repeat the same old "reverse psychology" argument that Turkey does not want to become an EU member, but instead, tell us as to WHY Turkey cannot become an EU member for a change.

What's the gauntlet that was thrown down? Bagis seeing himself at the same level as the President of Cyprus and making a Micky Mouse invitation on twitter to a football game with strings attached.

Look how well the football game between Armenia and Turkey did so well few years ago ( I was being sarcastic just for your information) when heads of state attended the games both in Turkey and Armenia, or did you forget about that!

For an unrecognized country head Bağış is more than enough as the GCs will never get a direct invite but this has always been one of the GCs well known tactics playing the we are better than you card im a head of state so you should recognize me well it aint gonna happen and Bağış is the best the GCs will get otherwise its nothing which also suits the GCs as they are not in a real search for a solution all they have to do is keep the ignorant refugees happy by duping them into believing they have a chance of returning and hey presto they get to keep and run 63% of the island as their own.

As far as Turkey is concerned they ado not recognize them in their current structure, you cannot be this stupid but on second thoughts you are anti Turkey and TCs so anything is possible.

the proper reply from the ROC should have been that the President of the ROC would welcome an official invitation from the President of Turkey on a head of state to head of state basis to fly from Larnaca to Istanbul, watch the Game and enjoy a coffee afterwards, and for its part, the President of the ROC as head of state officially invites the President of Turkey on a head of state to head of state basis to fly direct from Turkey to Larnaca and attend the Second leg in the ROC.
