Well, Turkey is still looking towards warmongering to detract from its troubles in Cyprus.

"Turkey has scrambled six F-16 fighters jets near its border with Syria after Syrian helicopters came close to the border, the country's army says.

Six jets were sent to the area in response to three such incidents on Saturday, the statement said, adding that there was no violation of Turkish airspace."

It's great that you're showing interest in Cyprus's EU Presidency, VP. No need to worry though. Today is a Sunday, so you haven't missed anything. The Six-month Cyprus Presidency Programme is being presented to Strasbourg on the 4th July by Pres. Christofias. You can watch it live at the EU Parliament's website.

On Thursday, July 5, all eyes will be on Curium as it welcomes distinguished European guests for the inaugural ceremony of the Cyprus EU Presidency. You can watch it live here:

You won't miss anything. Check into CF regularly for all the news and events here:

Once more, I'm really glad you're taking such an interest in this historic occasion.

There are also two strategic meetings/conferences in Nicosia tomorrow, VP:

High Level & Other Meetings
Informal Meeting of SCIFA
02.07.2012 - 03.07.2012
Location: 'FILOXENIA' Conference Centre, Lefkosia (Nicosia)
This is a strategic committee consisting of senior level officials of the Member States. SCIFA's task is in principle to determine guidelines for EU cooperation in the areas of immigration, frontiers and asylum.

Middle East and Security Seminar
02.07.2012 - 03.07.2012
Location: 'FILOXENIA' Conference Centre, Lefkosia (Nicosia)
The Presidency is organising a high level seminar on Middle East and Security. The seminar will focus on the “Track Two Diplomacy” and it will provide an insight on the individual initiatives of some European states alongside the work undertaken by several institutes, within the framework of the Barcelona Process. It will also be an excellent opportunity to exchange views on the efficiency of “Track Two Diplomacy” and its contribution to regional stability.

There is also a full Presidency calendar here:

You can see all scheduled meetings, conferences and events on a daily basis. No need to be ignorant.

As you can see there is a very full programme ahead.
