Bite your tongue! We want a healthy and strong Erdogan...

"But Erdoğan’s rule has another, darker side, which the West seems intent on ignoring: an increasingly harsh campaign to crush domestic opposition. In the past five years, more than seven hundred people have been arrested, including generals, admirals, members of parliament, newspaper editors and other journalists, owners of television networks, directors of charitable organizations, and university officials. Some fifteen per cent of the active admirals and generals in the Turkish armed forces are now on trial for conspiring to overthrow the government."

This man IS the messiah… there is no doubt about it! :)

The West turn a blind eye to Turkish human rights abuses. Apart from US and Israeli press articles, I don't see the State Department, Obama or Mrs. Clinton doing much to criticise or rein in the Mad Mullah in Ankara. They are way too indulgent...

Everything you say has been proved wrong before, but that doesn't stop you from posting exactly the same bullshit.

it is simple geography, a Greek Cyprus makes Greece her equal at war. an impotent Cyprus is one that is divided, perfect because "Greeks" don't suffer in this Proxy War. so long as the debate is focused on their adversarial relationship, Cypriots in effect are ignored, successfully denied even the recognition that they exist. Greece needs to resolve her problems with Turkey, or Cyprus becomes a prize, and as a matter of Property, it is easy to say that at the Treaty of Lausanne, Turkey was swindled. unsinkable aircraft carrier, parasites its guardian, against a world that will grow weary, and at one point snap. trouble is that this is the thinking of (neo) Ottomans, and not great thinkers, they are just stepping into the Modern Age, (and their term in office is ending; maybe).
