Viewpoint, you might be very clever but never forget that we are at least as clever as you are.
Do you think we will veto Turkey tomorrow or after 6 months or after 1 year? Nooo!

We will block Turkey -assuming you did not become more sensible by then and decide to be more co-operative towards finding a solution, after 2, 3 or 4 years from now. Do you know why we will block Turkey after some time and while she is somewhere in the middle of her accession process? If you find the right answer, I will give you a nice expensive bottle of red wine from Pafos region as a gift. Send me your address and I will mail it to you.

Main_Source, this is bad manners and thoughts on your behalf. When I offer something, I do it with respect and dignity. Here we debate issues, but with respect to the person having the opposite opinion and ideas. I do not like at all what you said!

M_S!! Only completely uncultured people talk in this way of yours. What are you? An underground vagabond Londoner or a Greek Cypriot?

Would it be the fact the Turkey will be closer to entry thus weaker to GC demands?? and the threat of veto will allow you to extract more more until you have all you want???

Never under estimate Turkey or the other 24 EU members. You are a very small member of the EU your presence does not even register on the richter scale, its the big boys who rule.

Even if my answer is correct or wrong I thank you for your generous offer, but no thanks.

This is a very good example of the inner mindset of GCs towards TCs who are clearly ignorant and unreceptive to different viewpoints outside of their blinkered vision, it reeks of vengence, frightening...
