Both GCs and TCs have soverignty rights over this island you cannot ignore this fact nor can you force both sides to live together 1974 chnaged all that. Individual properties rights will be repected and the TRNC can be reduced to accomodate many refugees return of land, what is it with you people you hate us so much yet you dont want to let us go. Eg 75% of Cyprus for the GCs is more than enough for them to sustain a good standard of life for many years to come. Those with proplerty rights left on either side of the divide can either be compensated or given alternative options such as repatriation where possible or alterntive choices on the other side of the island.

If you believe that Cyprus shoudl be united then give us concrete examples of how life for everyone would improve because to date you have only quoted form a text book and not given examples in evry day life that can win people over.

WRONG... Sovereignty is vested in a single nation-state of Cy ... No single person or groups of people have any rights to a share.

Sovereignty is indivisible.

AMEN!

But your wise words are wasted on VP, who wants to establish sovereignty over is outside toilet as well

Wrong, but lets B52 respond as he needs a lesson in understanding that we Tcs also have soverignty rights.

VP ...again you have little idea of what you're talking about or you're trying on a scam,.

Cos no discussion on Sovereignty can be had without ref to the UN Charter and what it has to say about the relationships between it's member nation-states.

Sovereignty is that relationship between member-states where the member-states agree to respect eachother's territorial integrity and respect that each member-state has a right to self-determination without outside interference.

Turkey aborted attack on Syria at last minute over downed jet, report says

ISTANBUL

Turkey abandoned the idea of bombing Syria's anti-aircraft weapons and missile systems on the countries’ border at the last minute in the wake of last month’s downing of a Turkish jet, daily Sabah reported today.

F-16 warplanes were reportedly prepared to fly to Syria to conduct the bombings when the bodies of the downed jet’s pilots were found in the sea.
There were also three other factors preventing Turkey from conducting the sortie, according to reports.

The first factor was that the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) were not familiar enough with the Russian antiaircraft systems deployed in Syria as the defenses had not yet been tested by Turkish jets, Sabah reported.

The TSK also held back because it had not yet been revealed how the Turkish jet had been shot down, the newspaper said.
Most importantly, however, Turkey chose not to attack because of the political risk attached to such a bombing campaign. Attacking Syria could have damaged the country's image at the same time that
Ankara has been supporting Middle Eastern peace efforts, authorities decided, according to the daily.

Syria downed the Turkish jet on June 22 in the eastern Mediterranean.

I can't believe how blood thirsty you boys are.

The Syrians explained that they thought it was an Israeli jet.

The Turkish image in your mind is one of Barbaric attack with thousands killed. When they don't conform to your view they become chicken.

Then a bomb explodes in the City and you accuse Turkey of being behind it.

Having studied the scientific evidence regarding this case one can only conclude that Kurubedos was in the vicinity and dropped one. The problem was he followed through. He can't help that, as soon as he hears bullet sounds it is an automatic reaction of his body.

WRONG. the forth reason is that :

Turkey would not bomb ‘fraternal’ Syrians, PM says

ISTANBUL

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has dismissed accusations from Syria’s information minister that Turkey was involved in July 18’s deadly bombing in Damascus, saying Ankara would never do such things to the “fraternal” people of Syria.

"Misinformation is a common method for governments to use in times like these," Erdoğan said. "No one can say that we would take such a step toward a fraternal people like the Syrians. The regime needs to question itself first over this."
