Why do you care if I care or not.

Are you a Turk?

I dont care but you seem even more concerned about what Turkey is claiming than us...is it because you feed off and rejoice in Turkeys misstakes or want to degrade and run them into the ground because we all know you hate anything Turkish just like other GCs.

VP: I don't know about Kikapu so I will talk for myself. Although this is the wrong thread into which you bring a wrong question again. But here it is:

Turkey is presently the ONE AND ONLY enemy of Cyprus. A much hated enemy indeed, who has half of our island under occupation, holds the other half hostage and who is a constant threat to the existence of ALL Cypriots and of Cyprus as an entity. Therefore, it is a matter of common sense to watch closely what they are doing and how they are acting and reacting and try to establish what they might be up to at all times and be prepared against whatever they might try to pull. Matter of self preservation, you see. And prudence. To "know your enemy", spot his weaknesses, exploit them, use them against him to destroy him, if you can, or at least to weaken him. And yes, like you said, drive him to the ground if possible. Is that so hard to understand?

Yes it is because Turkey if they so desired could smash the GCs to pieces, so your wasted intelligence and military expenditure is useless and total waste of time youd be better off bailed out your failed banks. Turkey will never attack the south what will it do with all you GCs? you have to live somewhere and 63% of the island is more than enough.

...but at what military and political cost and with what implications in the short and the long run? The fact that we started a war against an entire empire alone and unsupported and the fact that we did not hesitate to say know to the Annan Plan against all advise and threats should have taught you a think or two about the GREEK tradition to always fight for our freedom at all costs. Be sure your Turkey IS considering seriously all such aspects when evaluating the potential risks of a drive south.

....youd be better off bailed out your failed banks.

If we were to think and act like that we would have accepted the Annan Plan in 2004.

Of course not. It wouldn't like to end up with a second Kurdistan would it?

Having said that your natural resources may tempt the Americans to take action which could include Turkey, so never say never you maybe end up under Turkeys control just for the sake of controlling the resources so your find would in find be your doen fall rather than the blessing you think it is today.

VPs, forget about Turkey doing anything in Cyprus, because if she could, she would have done so already. This is what you should be worried really about regarding Turkey.

I think the west is looking for an excuse to break up Turkey to solve the Armenian and Kurdish issues, hence the west constantly egging on Turkey to take on Syria on their own, or even Israel for that matter, but Turkey is not taking the bait. Once Turkey gets involved in a war with Syria without the backing of NATO, the break of of Turkey will begin, which will also solve the Cyprus issue. Turkey is no longer a trusted NATO member, nor does she have any use for NATO. Often Turkey acts against NATO's interests as a rouge state. All NATO's installations in Turkey are in the eastern part of Turkey which would become Kurdistan. The Kurds after the fact will continue doing business as usual with the west and NATO as far as these military bases and installations are concern, so there is no downside to NATO by the break up of Turkey.

But it is not all bad news when Turkey breaks up, because the remaining part of Turkey, the western half would be able to get much closer to Europe and would be able to join the EU once Democratic changes are made. It shouldn't take too long when Turkey would rid herself the Cyprus, Armenian and the Kurdish issues. Turkey would still remain a "bridge" between East and West, except this time, it will not be an actual bridge, but a very long land border stemming from Black Sea to Mediterranean Sea, somewhere in the middle of the country.

I support Turkey and Cyprus being broken up and giving the people the right to govern themselves...let the Kurds get on with it their country would be shit anyway, allowing Turkey to prosper and move forward, but in the same breath you have to allow TCs the right to govern their own soverign state and settle private land ownership problems on a one to one basis as was the case in Poland after the second world war.

TCs never had their own sovereign state in the past, present and nor will there be one in the future, at least not in Cyprus. Perhaps you can claim part of Turkey upon it's break up, by claiming that your roots go back to some part of Turkey.

Who the hell gave you the right to take other peoples land by force and then try and make it legal by buying them out with the money you will never have to pay with even if that were to be the case. Perhaps they would want to buy you out so that you can move back to your roots in Turkey. Would that be acceptable to you? If not, don't be so arrogant to think you can impose this on others. How can there be one to one basis for a land settlement when the whole land issue is 80%-20% lopsided in the GCs favour. If you can't live in Cyprus as a Cypriot within 100% of Cyprus, then you really need to go back to your roots.

Do you know anything about he Jewish properties in Poland and how it was all settled after the end of the world war?

Both GCs and TCs have soverignty rights over this island you cannot ignore this fact nor can you force both sides to live together 1974 chnaged all that. Individual properties rights will be repected and the TRNC can be reduced to accomodate many refugees return of land, what is it with you people you hate us so much yet you dont want to let us go. Eg 75% of Cyprus for the GCs is more than enough for them to sustain a good standard of life for many years to come. Those with proplerty rights left on either side of the divide can either be compensated or given alternative options such as repatriation where possible or alterntive choices on the other side of the island.

If you believe that Cyprus shoudl be united then give us concrete examples of how life for everyone would improve because to date you have only quoted form a text book and not given examples in evry day life that can win people over.

WRONG... Sovereignty is vested in a single nation-state of Cy ... No single person or groups of people have any rights to a share.

Sovereignty is indivisible.
