Anyone know any of the controllers?...

Yes. Its on Greek sites since yesterday. Well, one thing is for sure. THAT plane didn't curry any pictures or info from "DEMETRA" back home di it? Thank you Syria.

P.S. 1 More information say that additionally to the particular F-4, a turkish electronics warfare plane was also spying Cyprus reason for which the National Guard ordered radio silence and activated electronic counter measures. The same information mentions that even this second plane was locked on by Syrian radars but not shot at.

P.S. 2 The information that the F-4 was spying on Cyprus was given since early Sutarday by defencenet.gr probably taken from defence-point.gr

Erdogan reminds me of Harding, the character in the movie "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" where he keeps saying, "I can only be pushed so far", blah, blah and more blah!

In the end, he does get pushed around, both Erdogan and Harding!

This is funny stuff. Everyone is pushing Erdogan, be it be Israel, Syria, the Kurds, the RoC and on and on. Erdogan keeps repeating the same idle threats and bluffs.

Looks like NATO told Erdogan, "you are on your own on this one pal". We are not coming to save your butt. You violated Syrian airspace, and they shot your war plane down with ONLY a anti aircraft guns. How embarrassing is that to be shot down by a "catapult" basically. Not even a missile, but a anti aircraft gun from relatively close range, like 1-2 kilometers, therefore, the Turkish F-4 had to be close to Syrian land for god sake to be riddled with bullet holes. It most probably made a direct hit to the flight deck for the pilots not being able to eject. No wonder NATO told Erdogan to take it like a man. If you play with fire, you will get your fingers burnt. One more example as to why Turkey talks big on military, but is nothing but a toothless tiger.

There is no need to say that for many countries having satellites, this is a pretty attractive location to watch.

And so the question is: Is it possible not to see the attack with so many witnesses around? Another question: Is it possible to hide the truth when there are so many eyes watching?

So the question is: Have American, British and NATO satellites recorded what and where exactly it happened? If yes, would they hide the information if it justified Turkey? I don't think so!

Naturally NATO with all those nice posts on CY and elsewhere in the region know exactly where the plane was flying. Equally as naturally they ain't gonna release the data cos it won't favour their ally.

noted the Turkes call Dekhalia a British air base :D :D :D :D :D - I think it has one glider,,,,,,,

Erdogan is a clown. All the threats like the naval threats in the med., the threats against Israel, and now this. It's all bullshit, he is not going to do anything. He wanted NATO to hold his hand. It shows even with all the support from the US, the Turks don't have faith in their military.

Erdogan buries the hatchet of war...
Louis Denghien ( Info Syrie )

Erdogan backed up threatening: a tactic he has been implementing since he was playing in the courtyard of the elementary school.

We had told you so! Turkey, Erdogan rather, will not attack Syria, regardless of the accusation on his neighbor's responsibilities for downing the Turkish F4 fighter bomber last Friday.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan himself put an end to this (false) anxiety Wednesday, June 27: " Turkey, the Turkish people have no intention to attack Syria, " said, however, hawkish Turkish prime minister during a ceremony.
Erdogan added that his country did not show " any hostile attitude to any country " .

Who started to be "hostile"?

His country, for sure, but the government is less clear.
We once again reiterate that although we are happy to verbal de-escalation, Erdogan's government has transformed the Turkish province of Hatay border on a rearguard and sanctuary of the Syrian Free Army (FTA). With the consent of the authorities in Ankara, armed gangs trained, equipped, recruiting from the refugee camps and among the foreign Islamic volunteers in the Turkish territory. From the Turkish territory and attacks starting ambushes them to Aleppo, Latakia and Intlemp in Turkish territory shelter in case of failure. Finally, based on Turkish soil the FTA……….

Turkish jet shot down inside Syrian airspace: report
ISTANBUL - Hürriyet Daily News

U.S. intelligence indicated a Turkish warplane shot down by Syrian forces was most likely hit by shore-based anti-aircraft guns while flying inside Syrian airspace,

American officials said, according to the Wall Street Journal. The finding falls in tune with Syria’s account of the incident and contrasts reports from Turkish officials.
The Turkish government has said debris from the plane fell into Syrian waters, but maintained that its fighter jet was shot down without warning in international airspace.

"We see no indication that it was shot down by a surface-to-air missile as Turkey says,” a senior U.S. defense official said, but declined to specify the source of the information. The senior U.S. defense official cautioned that much remains unknown about the incident.

The use of antiaircraft fire would suggest the Turkish plane was flying slowly and low to the ground, U.S. officials said, although Syria had said the jet was traveling at 480 miles an hour.

If hit by anti-aircraft fire, the jet likely came closer to the Syrian shoreline than Turkey claims, U.S. officials said.
A former senior U.S. official who worked closely with Turkey said he believed the flight's course was meant to test Syria's response. "You think that the airplane was there by mistake?" the former official said. "These countries are all testing how fast they get picked up and how fast someone responds. It's part of training."

I find I'm actually feeling sorry for the pilots. :(
