I think the figures must be wrong as I suspect there are a lot more Russians here virtually full time, particularly in LImassol.

There are no statistics of Turkish speaking Cypriots there (for those TC's who live in the RoC) also how would you capture those TC who may support the RoC and its government but always lived in the now occupied area.

But if they hold an ROC pasport they are not foreign, but Cypriot, and the survey was recording the numbers of known non-Cypriots living in the Free areas.

Does the definition of British in the census include people of Cypriot descent who were born in the UK?

Russians are concentrated in a few areas mostly in Limassol along the west coast of the city. Also there are many Russian speaking foreigners who are not Russian... like Ukrainians and Pontians (who are counted as Greek and not Russian)
