The thing with this forum is that it is not one community but separate communities which are at war. If this forum was in Greek then it would be just one community. No Turks or foreigners in general. Just one community with common interests and no major conflicts. Or the forum could be in English but cater only to people with similar interests with strict moderation for anybody that would get out of line. You either comply with the norm or you are out! Most forums are like that. This is different ... not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing... but it is inevitable when even the most anti-GreekCypriot trolls are allowed to post here!

As far as I am concerned the thing with this forum is that it is not one community or even several communties but individualds (or the case of VP possibly a hive entity) with different back-grounds and different points of view. If this forum was not in a lingua france of sort sort but in a language spoken by only a few nationalities it would become exclusive to the speakers of that language. No foreigners in general. Just one selection of individuals with a common langauge and their own particular set of gripes with each other. Or the forum could be in a widely spoken interntional language but cater only to people with similar interests with strict moderation for anybody that would get out of line. You either comply with the norm or you are out! Most forums are like that. This is different ... this is a good thing ... but it is inevitable that one will be exposed to some people with some pretty strange if not outrageous ideas including Takism, Enosis and Anti-semitic racism.

Communities are always made of individuals who are different If those differences are not great on major issues then those people can be part of the same community. If those differences are huge and some members don't even respect the human rights of other members then you can't expect to have one peaceful community!

Enosis was neither strange or outrageous and was what most Cypriots wanted. Enosis is what happened to other Greek islands. Was it strange or outrageous for them? Is the enosis of Scotland, England, Wales and N.Ireland strange and outrageous? This proves my point ... we are not part of the same community and you see things differently than I do. If that was not enough you also think that you should tell to us what is right for Cyprus... and then those no-end arguments start. What you should have done instead is accept that this is our island and not yours and stop preaching us about our national issues. Then there wouldn't be any repetitive discussions!!
