25 Billion Bailout on the way

Postby Lordo » Tue Jun 12, 2012 9:42 pm

What will the conditions be?

God help the Cypriot people because they will pay for the mistakes of their bankers as per usual.

RoC's Oil and Gas for the EU as their primary customer.

Oh dear, more bad news for Turkey's hopes on getting their hands on RoC's Oil and Gas, because the EU is already purchasing the Gas and Oil in advance while it is all under the sea and even before one drop/bubble has reached the surface.

You have to wait till it comes out the ground before you can sell it. Have they started drilling to get it out yet?
As Downer said, drilling for tests is one thing getting it out is another.

I suppose they can always sell the junk bonds from Greece. I am sure there will find a mug or two from somewhere that will buy them one more time.

Looks like the EU is putting a "down-payment" with the 25 Billion (€'s I presume) you have stated and the conditions can only be, if you cannot pay this money back in cash, it will be in Gas & Oil.

The EU is not worried about the Gas & Oil coming out of the ground, even if Downer is. Who died and made Downer Oil & Gas drilling/producing expert anyway?

Why do you think all the major Oil & Gas companies from major nations are all at the RoC's door step to bring the loot up. Who is going to stop them, Turkey?

It's the first down payment in the world that will have an interest charge specified against it.
Now what will the percentage be?

Sorry to clip your wings. No gas will leave the bed of the sea until the Cyprob is solved. I know, life is a bitch, but here you are. Turkey is part of the equation and it is a big player. The newly found gas can be a blessing or a curse. I cannot trust some of our politicians that they can turn the gas issue into a blessing.

Ahh but the EU and Israel are part of the equation so I don't fancy Turkey's chances.

Anyway, we've had nothing but bluster and empty threats from Turkey in the past decade.

Yea. They even threatened with war and later with annexation of the North if we were admitted in the EU prior to Turkey.
