Our group will look as follows...

Armenia
Slovenia
Austria
Cyprus
Bulgaria

Not a very strong group, apart from Armenia who also have high caliber ex-pat players from strong rugby playing countries joining their side.

its a lengthy process. in which only 97 countries are full members.
We've been assessed by the IRB beginning of this year.

Member unions

'There are 97 member unions and 20 associate member unions of the IRB, each of which are also affiliated to one of six regional unions. Membership of the IRB is a four-step process:[14]
A Union must apply to become an associate member of its Regional Union
After all membership criteria are met, including one year as an associate member, the Union is admitted to the Regional Union as a full member
After completion of stages 1 and 2, and two years as a full member of a Regional Union, the Union may then apply to become an Associate member of the IRB. As an associate member, the union can participate in IRB funded tournaments but not the Rugby World Cup
Following two years of associate membership of the IRB, the union may then apply to become a Full Member'

Which begs the question of World cup qualification....

If, by some miracle we do qualify for the WC, then I either see the IRB hurrying our membership process along, of which they had to do with several countries in previews World Cups - So I've heard.
Or disband the whole qualification system.
As it stands we can very well qualify as a non member.

Howzit!

I think we Cypriots fail to see how good this side really is and the wealth of talent overseas which Cyprus can draw upon.

It is a bit of a shame because it is not inconceivable to see Cyprus qualify for the Rugby Union World Cup, which is something it will not achieve in Football ever.

Good luck to Cyprus. More funding is required from the Cypriot Sport Authorities because Cyprus can make a name for itself in this sport. Who knows, they could one day face the All Blacks in front of 100,000 spectators and a worldwide TV audience of 2 Billion people.

Rugby is big.
