Eroglu ready to discuss Famagusta

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

It seems everybody thinks that it will take Turkey 10 to 15 years before they can even remotely be able to join the EU accept you my friend. But in the meantime of course they have been in the customs union since the 90s which means trade freely. To be honest with the finances of all the countries in the EU accept Germany and France, who would want to join this bankrupt group. But we'll leave that for another day.

In the mean time have they gone yet?

And yet Turkey has Not yet to call it off. T You sound like VP two in one . You try to tell us Turkey does not want to enter into EU yet she has not written that letter confirming its intention affective of now to withdraw its ambitious application for EU membership.

You are being your silly self again human...why should they withdraw when they have more to gain if they keep up the facade...why not tell us about how sick you feel now your EU leverage has gone up in smoke.

You are right VP, Turkey is putting up a facade. It should be so obvious that her application can not be taken seriously but she has seriously taken the piss out of the EU. This is the EU's fault and they will learn their lesson.

I do not feel sick at all.

I am trying to understand your Turkish views. You keep telling us Turkey is over the EU thing ..... Yet she has not formalised by pulling out of talks.

Then you have answered your own "have they gone yet" question, my friend!

The EU can buy and sell Turkey many times over.

Not bad for a "bankrupt" group, hey?

With who's money? Chinese?
You are funny, the whole western system is in turmoil. You guys are sleepwalking.

...so superior eh Lordo, with whose money, Turkey's bubble will burst, Europe will recover.

As long as Cyprus is an EU member, her EU leverage is always going to be there against Turkey. That is given.

Regardless of weather the EU is in a strong OR weak position economically and politically, it is something Turkey wants to be part of.

If the EU is economically and politically in a strong position, Turkey wants to be part of it, just so to reap the benefits for her developing country, and to be part of a strong institution. What prestige for a Muslim country to be in the EU's Christian Club. Turkey will be the "Cat's Meow" in the Middle East and the Arab world in general.

If the EU is not economically and politically in a strong position, Turkey wants to be part of the EU even more, because Turks think (Delusions of Grandeur) they can have more influence in the EU, to show the EU how things are done by a developing Muslim country. What prestige for a Muslim country to think they can lead the EU's Christian Club. That would really be the "Cat's Meow"!

There is just one main problem for Turkey to realise her EU dreams above all else, and that is the RoC, who now holds the keys since 2004 to "mighty" Turkey's EU prospects. Now, that really is the "Cat's Meow"!

What's that about you saying Cyprus losing her EU leverages against Turkey!

I am afraid that is wishful thinking. Not in our lifetime anyway. Considering their economy is the only one growing and they have the most important resource in the world in abundance I suspect it will not even be in our grandchildren's time either.

But hope is good.
