Andrea, Respect and Turkey cannot appear in the same line. They do not know what it means.

...Turkey can bring Peace to this part of the planet, i'm still rooting for her. it would mean that Erdogan would have to demonstrate what he rightly says others do not do, in Turkey's case, not just moving in to the Modern Age but, by coming to terms with the great thinking it has produced, to take us beyond.

...in essence progressive Turkish Governments have sought to resist changes from outside their sphere because of the sense that in embracing the future, it cannot be controlled. in their denial, the Truth as it appears in terms of Universal Principals does not seem lost, when in the critisism of others often, "Turks" are wryly correct. however, things cannot remain the same forever, and it seems, what is natural survives.

...Ataturk took to task the Empire of the Ottomans, like Napolean III before him, he saw the Glory of Turkey as A Heritance, a State, of which this People and all its Living Relics, these Nations, were a part of. perhaps someone can help me here because i can't remember this part of history, who was his greatest ally in this dream for a greater Turkey, what is his name, a Kurd or Armenian leader, who's dying wish was to be buried by the side of the road so that his People could spit at his grave, now that the Kemalist were in power, and "Turkishness" became their mantra.

...there is still a lot of Pride in plunder yet. it is setting up the "Turks" for their bubble to burst, i feel bad for Turks because they'll be whipped into a frenzy voting for this man, and they will be the ones who will fight his Wars, if he does not change .

You are so wrong in saying Turkey can bring peace to this part of the planet. I am afraid the key is with the RoC and it has always been with the RoC.

In 1973 when Turkey managed to get Dengtash to accept all 13 points demanded by Makarios including the reduction of power to 20% for the Turkish Cypriots with most GCs in their homes and 33% of TCs in enclaves and yet it was refused.

If GCs do not wake from this political slumber the north will end up as part of Turkey legally and they will only have themselves to blame for the stupidity.

Another deluded individual.

The worse thing Turkey can do to herself, is to annex the north, assuming she could do so legally or otherwise.
