Well Lordo, Halil, VP?

How did the festivities go? Did the Malaysian cobras parade? Hope the F16s didn't stray into Syrian airspace or anything?
Did the grass hopper friend of yours come to offer flowers to the mechmejic?

Off........?

I thought as much. No wonder I can't find any detailed pictures anywhere on the net. Even the turkish news papers publish only close ups of parading units, a plane demonstrating, three helicopters flying over and plenty of officials saluting something or the other. No pictures of the enthusiastic and cheering crowds, though. Wonder why.

We must be mature about this.

What would have happened if all Greek Cypriots did not join the war and just let the Junta officers and EOKA fight the Turks. I am also including the soldiers of the GC National Guard?

Instead every body joined in and started shooting at the Turks as they were descending with their parachutes. But of course then the EOKA went on a rampage robbing and killing Turkish Cypriots they could find. They certainly did not fight the Turks.

So you see if the Greek Cypriots did not shoot at the Turks perhaps the outcome would have been different.

We shall never know.

Instead of asking stupid questions have a go at a legit one…

What if TCs did the right thing by defending their country and government from the Greek coup instead of just sitting back and inviting Turkey to invade?

Indeed if only 1963 and 1967 did not happen I suspect they would have done. Was there any call by the Greek Cypriots of help from the Turkish Cypriots?

In any case the coupist had full control of the Army, how exactly were the Greek Cypriots going to defeat the coupist.

Please explain.
