in Limassol you will probably better end up sharing an appartment, I cant advice you on which area is the best.

it is not unbearable cold in winter, only couple of months (it is a Mediterranean island after all)

there is buses (dead cheap) but you are better of buying a small engine car that gets you around.

the last question is a hard one, I have an IT engineering degree and I do accounting (get the idea, you probably wont work with your degree and will settle down with what is best available)

hi,

Really thansk for the reply. The first reply i got from a Cypriot.

Is there any popular room renting web site in cyprus? I believe i will rent somewhere in walking distance to the office.
Is it cheap to travel to the neighbouring country and Europe? like Egypt or Turkey.

To Cyrpus, i think the most important thing is not to forget to bring my swimming trunks... yea!

For 200 - 300 euro it is impossible to rent a good apartment in a good area. Not only good apartments are more expensive but it is unlikely that somebody who has a good apartment will rent it to a single young male foreigner. If you are female and 40+ then chances are better, but you will still need to pay more... at least 350-400 including the common expenses. The weather in Cyprus is hot during summer and not very cold in winter. In winter in Limassol it would almost never go under 5C. In Cyprus public transportation is limited. The pay depends on a lot of things. It could be 700 euro or it could be several 1000s. Here is one website for rentals: http://www.vilanosproperties.com/easyco ... tus=rental

Travel to Turkey? you should become aware of the local Geo-political scene.

Yea All, thanks for the advice.

Yepp Sotos, i am a male single foreigner unfortunately, so now i should budget for my accomodation to 400 Euro, per month right?

Ok, not Turkey is not adviceable. So Egypt!

Because i am Asian, do not have much knowledge about europe country, and only knows about Cyprus when i got the job offer.

What is your opinion on Greece quiting Euro? Will it affect Cyprus?

I am going to be visiting Cyrpus soon and though I am going with just 3 other fiends, we are looking for more company to get the whole trip something better.

We are to stay on the place for 8 days and could guys please suggest any place to stay. I have no problems with staying on traveller inns as we practically have done most of that on other backpacking trips as well.
