unless and until the Turks recognise the culpapbility of the then rulers no way should they be allowed anywhere near the EU: and this is apart from complete withdrawl from Cyprus.

Strange how they have been part of the Customs Union since mid 90s. Has she withdrawn from Cyprus in the night may be.

...indeed the EU is not so quick to be vicious or to demonstrate like a bully their power, she has not withdrawn the benefit of this agreement, she does not insult her friend in times of weakness, she respects her commitments with a cooler head. in this respect, Erdogan seems a Kemalist's Kemalist, who turn away from Ataturk, they say beyond, with this effort to impose "Turkishness", and his threats internationally which hearken to disputes before the Modern Age, like calling the Treaty of Lausanne (where Property is the issue without a Cypriot People) unfair, and their definition of Turkey's Continental Shelf from Italy to Egypt.

...indeed, Turkey is a great country, it is regretable that their ruling elite are unable to do more than to tarnish this image with the Intolerant expressions of plunderers, always making War the normal, times of Peace made rare, always dismissing the concerns of anyone who they may have to deal with, to the most petty fisticuffs even at the HQ of the UN, his party risks the total humiliation of the Turkish People to gain his tribute as a Turk, this is the danger of this denial.
