More Threats from Nutty Professor Davutoğlu

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

More Threats from Nutty Professor Davutoğlu

Postby bill cobbett » Fri May 18, 2012 7:44 pm

This time it's the turn of the Supposed to be a Foreign Minister of Turkey/Kurdistan Nutty Professor Davutoğlu to spew out threats against Cyprus.

Davutoğlu is issuing blustery threats to some of the World's Biggest Oil and Gas Companies, warning them not to take part in the Republic's bidding system for blocks in the Cyprus EEZ.

Davutoglu tries his hand at blackmail by saying... "The companies ... which cooperate with the (Republic of Cyprus) will not be included in energy projects in Turkey in the future," the foreign ministry said.

So far it looks like the oil and gas companies are ignoring the nasty threat of reprisals.

Bill, any company that surcomes to these threats is not a company we want to be doing business with.

'Future' energy projects is too big a maybe, possibly and no guarantee of getting any slice of any maybe possibly project. Whereas, Cyprus energy project is GUARANTEED. You work it out.

The 1/7/12 cannot come fast enough for me I want to be a fly on the Turkish parliment wall when Davut and Erdo spit fire and foam at the mouth. I guess their next move is to demand an apology from us too :) :)

Just a thought... wonder if Turkey tries it on with EU oil/gas companies, they would run foul of the terms of such things as the Customs Union...? ... and with other international treaties in the case of companies from elsewhere in the World... ???

...sadly Erdogan has in his power the chance to remedy a good deal of the Occidentals' problems; this requires Statesmanship that glows on the International stage because without exception it betters the condition of all people, not just "Turks". will he get it? will he move to an Age more Modern, will finally the Kemalists understand their failing; Turkey's Glory are all its relics, and the Living Heritances that revolve around them: this is Ataturk's vision.

seriously, if Bicommunal was made to be a good thing here in Cyprus, it may prove to be the template for the resolution of the Problem other where, where people have a meams to sustain their lives as Persons, while as Individuals they remain United in defending, what are Mankind's Universal Principals of Freedom.

...i reckon something nasty will happen too.

Well ... of the view that this and all the other threats in speeches and in actions like the Clapped-Out Sardine Trawler Piri Reis, the illegal exploration for non-existent oil/gas in Occupied Famagusta District etc are all very much for external consumption, all trying to create a situation of conflict, one which Turkey will argue with the International Community can only be resolved peacefully by CY ceding it a good deal of its EEZ.

There is a calculated sanity in all this apparent madness... isn't it the Turkish way...????

The most telling part of Davut's spoutings is at the end. That is where he states that the TCs have rights to the undersea resources of the whole island and that Turkey will safeguard their rights.

Note the way he formulates his thoughts. Not ALL Cypriots have rights to the undersea resources, just the TCs. Another grandiose psychotic projection of their cynicism. These people are supposed to be guarantors of our future security and independence!!!!

They never let pass an opportunity to show their true colors.
