"Cyprus itself is Greek!" - British view.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Oh my GAWD. The Turkish police uses two Greek symbols? Onme symbolizing Artemis and Vergin Mary and one symbolizing the Byzantine Empire? Isn't that high treason? I mean how stupid can you be?

Kimono.

You must have spent ages researching that load of crap.

The Byzantians were Romans as we all know. They even rebuilt Salamis and called it Constantia after the ROMAN emperor Constantine.

The question was...' When was Cyprus under Greek rule" ?

just the dates will suffice.

More British views on Cyprus being Greek:

"The choice lies between staying in Cyprus and losing face or leaving Cyprus and adding to the honours which we won for the British Empire when we left Wei-hai-wei in 1930 and the Ionian Islands in 1864. We do not regret that Corfu and Ithaca are under Greek instead of the British flag. This Ionian precedent for British policy is singularly apposite."
