How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

You do come up with some crap suggestions.

Being in the EU even if they privatised it they would have to pay the TC contribution through the state for the same reason that they do not chatge now.

Don't you have any idea how a civilized society behaves.

I'm shocked!

Lordo finally acknowledges who actually pays for the visiting TCs "free" health care, the Cypriot citizens living free areas.

Most of all, Lordo has finally acknowledged the the RoC is a civilized society.

Bravo re, there's hope for you yet!

Only because it is forced upon them by the EU.

What did Makarios say when they built a single lane road to a TC village instead of two lanes?
We have saved half the money.
What was the reply by TPapa?
We have lost half the money.

Civilized? try planet Uranus.

These free medical services can be stopped on a dime if the RoC wanted. But it will effect ALL Cypriots. All they have to do is to privatize the medical system, just like the system in Switzerland, where EVERY individual has a private insurance paid by themselves. All the RoC needs to do, is to tax individuals/family earners less, so that they can afford to pay for their own private medical insurances. TCs as RoC citizens coming from the north will have no choice but to also take out a private medical insurances if they want to be examined in the south. The only problem for the TCs would be, unless they work in the south, they will not benefit from lower taxes given by the RoC to afford private insurance. They will either use the medical system in the north, free or private, take out medical insurance in the south, or, pay cash when using the system in the south. In the end, the TCs would be the net losers, so don't think it can't be done if the RoC wanted to screw the TCs.

This reaveals your biased and one sidedness once more, if they could they would, they cant as the backlash would be far greater than the pittence they pay to provide these services which are mainly used by elderly TCs who contributed to the then state pre 1974, so dont try and stonewall people they are not stupid or gullible as you tend to presume due to your arrogance and I know it all mentality.

A typically anachronistic argument that can only expect from the TCs - did you know that Makarios died 35 years ago?

That said, the level of service, respect and priority given to TCs visiting hospitals in the free areas is simply not conjucive of medical staff doing this under duress from the EU.

If you don't believe me, go and seek treatment there for yourself so you can see for yourself how civilised the RoC is.
